In cooperation with our partner Hörmann Switzerland we have completed a very nice project. For the building construction department of the canton of Zurich we were allowed to manufacture 10 gates for the new construction of the workshop in Bülach. The buildings planned for the workshop include a service and workshop building as well as a parking garage and were completed in April 2021. The building materials used were wood for the support structure inside and concrete for the shell of the building. Particular attention was paid to the aspects of ecology and sustainability. The doors should not have an additional color coating and the use of silicone should also be avoided as far as possible.
Five twelve-leaf sliding folding gates measuring 14000mm x 4500mm with safety insulating glass were installed for the parking garage of the workshop. Furthermore, two upper supporting, 6-leaf sliding gates type ALPGATE ST-SP-50 with wicket door were delivered for the parking hall. The torsion-resistant steel frame construction made of galvanized sectional steel tubes achieves a long service life thanks to its robust construction and the individual gate leaves are permanently connected to one another with steel plates. The carriages made of galvanized steel each consist of a double-bearing support roller (Ø100mm) and two guide rollers (Ø65mm), which are coated with particularly hard-wearing plastic and thus guarantee the smooth movement of the door. The doors measuring 5700 mm x 4500-4620 mm (WxH) with the opening scheme: 0+ 6 or 6 + 0 were installed in front of the reveal.
The sliding gates are operated and driven by a GfA control TS 971 and a GfA electric drive with frequency converter for a soft start and a soft stop. The self-locking frequency converter motor with digital limit switches is particularly suitable for intensive use and has a continuously adjustable drive speed with automatic time locking.
For the service building, three further 4-leaf folding gates with wicket door and opening scheme 2 + 2 in the dimensions 4900 mm x 5400 mm were delivered. In order to achieve even greater resistance in the aggressive climate of the wash hall, one of the doors was delivered in a wash hall design, which means that components such as bolts (hinge bolts, support bolts, guide bolts), ball bearings, hinge Fastening screws and the Bowden cable for the emergency release of the electric drive made of stainless steel V2A. The gates in the service building were equipped with a self-locking electromechanical gate drive with telescopic swivel arms especially for folding gates that open on both sides. These drives are also suitable for intensive use (ED 80%), have automatic closing and automatic power cut-off, as well as soft start and soft stop functions. The motors were concealed above the running rail, incl. Special cover sheet made of natural aluminum folded sheet metal.
Thank you very much for the trusting and professional cooperation with our long-term partner Hörmann Switzerland!
