Oversizes, special requests and requirements, security-related specifications such as burglary protection up to resistance class RC 6, bullet resistance, horizontal or vertical designs, fixed opening directions, special seals and individual material requests – everything that lies outside the norm is our passion in special door construction.
With our experienced team of developers, we have already designed and realised the most unusual solutions. Using the latest software technology and 3D design software, we create precise concept models, motion simulations, assembly drawings, production drawings and carry out finite element analyses. Mechanical engineering for door drives
For high demands on the opening mechanism for particularly large or heavy gates or tight installation situations. We have already developed operators for door systems weighing up to 10 tonnes.

Customised drive solution in London
In order to meet the highest demands on the opening mechanism and to move particularly large, heavy doors even in tight installation situations, ALPGATE relies on a specially developed mechanical engineering system for door operators.
For this installation situation, we have designed a space-saving operator solution for two massive double-leaf doors in London (approx. 6 x 8 metres), which is operated with just one single operator system.
Roof or gate ?
This impressive sliding roof for a museum in Hong Kong is made of 6 tonnes of stainless steel and glass and combines fully automatic lifting, lowering and sliding technology – all controlled by a single drive. The exhibits for the museum are delivered directly through the roof by helicopter.

Door or wall?
When closed, our doors merge flush with the façade, creating a stylish, homogeneous overall appearance. This extraordinary door system enables a generous entrance opening thanks to automatically sliding outer walls – completely without floor guides.
Each door system is customised and manufactured precisely for the customer. Variants with increased burglary protection or a variety of infill materials can also be realised.
Security doors - burglar protection up to RC6
ALPGATE stacking door that fulfils even the strictest security requirements: Our RC4 models offer maximum security as standard, and these doors are also available in resistance classes RC5 and RC6 on request.
Our RC4 class stacking doors are specially designed for security-critical areas such as museums, banks and military facilities. They combine robust construction with an aesthetic design and therefore offer the perfect solution for demanding locations.
For environments with maximum protection requirements, the stacking door can be certified up to RC6 on request and therefore meet the highest security standards. Available in stainless steel and as a double door solution, the stacking door impresses with its particularly robust construction and is designed to withstand even extreme break-in attempts.</p
Sliding door with curved glass
An extraordinary door project for a masterpiece of architecture! We had the honour of creating two customised sliding door systems with curved glass for the spectacular building by renowned architects Massimiliano and Doriana Fuksas, which blend harmoniously into the curved façade.
With impressive dimensions of 4.2 m high and 3m+3m wide, the first system blends in perfectly with the extraordinary architecture. The second door system is also equipped with an integrated pedestrian door. The drive technology remains completely concealed in the floor, while we use a discreet 50 mm rail guide in the lintel area to preserve the elegant lines of the façade. The entire door is made from high-quality stainless steel.
