ALPGATE supplied 17 fully glazed folding doors with solar control glazing and a custom special color for this unique project.
For the new fire and rescue station in Wiesbaden-Igstadt, Bayer & Strobel Architects were awarded 1st prize in the realization competition – and implemented the project with architectural sophistication. With the support of the state of Hesse, a state-of-the-art operations complex was created for the professional fire department, volunteer fire brigade, and emergency medical services.
The particular challenge was to functionally and optimally integrate three usage units on the property.
The result is an L-shaped building structure that meets the highest standards of noise and visual protection in the immediate vicinity of residential development – combined with a striking clinker brick façade and innovative folding doors from ALPGATE.
