Movable facades instead of ordinary gates! We are pleased to be part of this urban development project: ZIMA Tirol is currently realizing the attractive city quarter “Stadt Carré” in the Wilten district of the university town of Innsbruck. By the end of 2023, a four-part building ensemble will be built on a plot area of around 5,200 m², which will comprise 255 modern residential and commercial units with a usable area of around 11,100 m².
The customer’s requirements were high and we are proud to have found an attractive solution. One of the challenges was to meet the high visual and structural requirements and to implement a corner door solution. The ALPGATE FT-SP-50 corner folding door consists of a welded steel frame construction with 42mm thick sandwich sheet metal panels and a high thermal insulation value of Up=0.6 W/m²K.
The two halves of the gate, of the gate system measuring almost nine meters in total, meet at an angle of 116° and form a harmonious, visually very attractive corner solution for the façade.
The scope of supply also included a large roller shutter and a six-leaf drop shutter with clear passage dimensions of 6772mm x 4625mm (opening pattern 2+4).
