With an investment volume of around EUR 5 million, a functional yet architecturally outstanding fire station was built in Owingen. The modern building was planned by the independent architect Josef Prinz from Ravensburg. The five manually operated ALPGATE folding doors from South Tyrol were installed. The door systems, which are made of ESG safety insulating glass (Ug= 1.1 W/(m2K)), are extremely smooth-running despite the real glass and can be opened and closed by hand without any problems. The folding doors (frames, door hinges, weatherboards and glazing beads) were given a color coating in RAL 9011. The floor rails at ALPGATE are made of stainless steel.
