ALPGATE has delivered a sliding folding door for the helicopter hangar of the Straubing Hospital, located on the roof of the building. Last year, the rescue helicopter “Christoph 15” from Straubing was alerted over 2,000 times, more frequently than any other rescue helicopter of the ADAC Air Rescue in Germany. This underscores the reliability and durability of our gate system, which must also withstand demanding operational conditions.
The ALPGATE sliding folding gate, model SFT-SP, with dimensions of 12,000 mm width x 5,200 mm height, was executed with the opening scheme 5+5. The completely glazed gate system is equipped with special insulated glass (5ESG – 12 – 3+3VSG, Ug=1.2W/m²K) and coated in RAL 7016.
The gate system is driven by two motors with gear reductions and features additional releases for manual gate opening in case of emergency. We are pleased with our customer’s satisfaction and wish the air rescue crew safe flights.
